About Us

Kit Carson, Jr., nicknamed “Bill”, grew up watching his parents work in their business. They encouraged his interest, allowing him to join them. He did odd jobs like sorting empty bottles and sweeping floors. After college and 2 years in the Air Force, Bill returned to Muskogee and became plant manager. The Love’s expanded their distribution territory, purchasing bottling plants in McAlester, Pryor, Okmulgee, Vinita and Atoka.

Love Bottling Company’s growth continued with Dr Pepper products and K.C. Love beverages. In 1969, the Love’s bought the Coca-Cola bottling plants in Muskogee and Stigler, thus serving customers with a larger variety of soft drinks. In 1979, a 135,000 square foot bottling facility was built on a 52-acre tract of land in Muskogee, increasing production of Coca-Cola, Dr Pepper and Love Beverages.

Bill's son, Barry, grew up in the business. His first job was picking up nails in the parking lot for a penny a piece. Today, Barry is the President of the company.

KC and Violet Love believed in giving back to the community. That tradition has continued through support to educational programs, scholarships, youth recreation, and charitable and civic contributions.
